Our full day tour takes you to some of our most loved and ancient locations. Beginning with Newgrange, the World Famous UNESCO World Heritage site which is older that the pyramids of Egypt.
Our first stop will be to the interpretative centre where you will have a short walk to transport over to the monument. there, you will be met by the Centre Guide who will take you in through the narrow passage to the cruciform shaped room. Be prepared to be awe inspired by this magical place.
Our next stop will be the Hill of Slane and the site of an ancient church and monastery. Enjoy the panoramic views over the Plains of Meath. It is here that St Patrick is said to have lit the Pascal Flame in defiance of the King of Tara.
The Hill of Tara is our third and last destination. This famous hill has seen many protests, battles and created many legends.
Come with us to Ireland’s Ancient Capitol. The Hill of Tara was once the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. Hear about the legendary feats of Fionn Mac Cúil and Cormac Mac Áirt. Hear about why Gráinne eloped and was hunted by her father’s warriors.
The more recent history of Tara is very much Ireland’s history and many of the seminal moments in our new nation’s road to independence have either happened at Tara or are associated with it.
